At PrepBoss, we believe in honesty, simplicity, and putting students first. Here's how we're different from other test prep companies:

• No shady upsells or fake urgency. We never use countdown timers, fake discounts, or pressure tactics.
• We don't sell your data. Ever. Your personal information stays private—no renting, no selling, no exceptions.
• You actually get free content. We provide real, usable sample questions—not just teaser fluff.
• We offer real support. Every user gets access to our team and AI tutor—not some faceless automated service.
• We reward success, not clicks. If you pass your exam with a score of 80% or higher, complete all PrepBoss learning modules, and finish all four PrepBoss final exams with a passing score (also 80% or higher), you'll receive a $25 gift card as our way of saying congrats (Pro users only). Your PrepBoss dashboard must clearly show full completion and passing status. To be eligible, you must email us proof of your official state exam score within 30 days of your exam date. Proof must include your name, exam date, and official passing result. We do this to keep it fair, clear, and consistent for everyone—no fine print, no surprises.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, app, and services.

1. Information We Collect

• User Data: Quiz answers, practice tests, flashcards, study notes, etc.
• Public Records: We may collect publicly available contractor data
• Technical Data: IP address, browser type, usage logs, etc.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve services, AI tutor, and app features
• Contact you about your account, reminders, and support
• Conduct outreach using contractor records
• Run automations through Zapier, Nutshell, and OpenPhone

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Communications & Marketing

We may contact you to:

• Offer free prep resources or simulated exams
• Promote referrals or giveaways
• Share product tips and updates

You can opt out any time via unsubscribe or texting STOP.

4. Referral & Incentives

You may refer a friend by providing their email/phone (with consent). All giveaways and rewards are subject to additional terms.

6. Data Storage & Hosting

All payments are processed through Stripe, which uses PCI Level 1 compliance, SSL encryption, and tokenization to protect your credit card information. PrepBoss does not store or have access to your full payment details.

We also do not store your password. If you forget it, a secure reset link will be sent to your email. We never view or retain your actual password under any circumstances.

Your information may be stored or processed on:

• Replit (app & chatbot infrastructure)
• Google Sheets (database)
• Namecheap (professional email server)

We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information.

7. Your Rights

You may request:

• Access or correction of your data
• To opt out of communications
• Deletion or data portability

8. Cookies & Analytics

We may use basic analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to monitor platform usage. We do not use behavioral ads or fingerprinting. You can opt out using browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

PrepBoss does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us at support@theprepboss.com.

10. Data Breach Protocol

In the unlikely event of a data breach, affected users will be notified promptly via email with recommended next steps.

11. Browser "Do Not Track" Handling

We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but you may manage privacy settings through your device.
